History of the property
The properties are designated national monuments which date from the 17th and 18th centuries. The property has a Louis XVI facade with a decorated middle section. The current appearance of the properties at Lange Voorhout 19-21(-23) dates from the early 19th century, when three previously separate buildings were joined together. In around 1862 the buildings were split again, according to the previous boundaries. Since 1982, numbers 19 and 21 have again been connected by a number of passageways.

Under the current zoning designation for 'Binnenhof and surroundings', the usage is ‘mixed 5'. This means that acceptable usages include residential, services and offices.

The Sales process
The sale of Lange Voorhout 19-21 will be carried out by public auction with both conditional and unconditional bids. The tendering procedure will take place on Thursday12 April 2018. After the bid, the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf (National Real Estate Company) will examine the acceptability of the bids and the risks of the conditions set in relation to the amount of the bid. The Rijksvastgoedbedrijf will determine what is an acceptable bid and whether the property can be awarded. After the contract is awarded, the purchase agreement will be concluded, after which the private party will have time to make the conditions unconditional (if any).
