Monumental property with grandeur and a rich history
A distinctive and historic house/office building in a unique location in The Hague, with four on-site parking spaces.
The property is located in the city’s historic Museum Quarter, home to many majestic buildings. It is very close to several museums, hotels and boutique shops. The Binnenhof or Inner Court, the Hofvijver or Court Pond, and the Plein, the city’s central square with its many food establishments and leisure opportunities are all a mere stone’s throw away. As such, the property is very conveniently located in relation to the vibrant city centre, and yet, it is on a quiet, tranquil thoroughfare and the entrances and exits to the A4, A44, A12 and A13 motorways are nearby. Access to public transport is also excellent; the number 1 and 9 tramway and the number 18, 22, and 24 bus services are within walking distance, as is The Hague Central Station.
History of the property
The properties are designated national monuments which date from the 17th and 18th centuries. The property has a Louis XVI facade with a decorated middle section. The current appearance of the properties at Lange Voorhout 19-21(-23) dates from the early 19th century, when three previously separate buildings were joined together. In around 1862 the buildings were split again, according to the previous boundaries. Since 1982, numbers 19 and 21 have again been connected by a number of passageways.
